  1. So, the Met Office forecast a wet and warm summer - do you think we will now get a heatwave that lasts from May to October?????
  2. Get your own great big tom cat - he will protect his 'patch' and other cats won't have time to empty their bowels, believe me!!
  3. Hello big bear - I like your photograph! You had better get 'er indoors to knit some thick wooly gloves if we are going to get all that snow! Meanwhile, I am looking at two greenhouses full of green tomatoes, peppers and chillies waiting for some 'B' sun! Sure ly, there won't be any moisture left to fall as snow later! Kind regards Big Bear so glad you are still about.
  4. Reliable source of semi naked tottie and civil engineering vacancies only though! Oh, I forgot, an easy crossword too! Both the Express and Daily Mail are really only magazines now - the Telegraph (but too big I would prefer if it went tabloid) and Times are better I think anyway.
  5. It's flipping freezing but lovely and clear, blue sky and hardly any wind at all in Peterborough. As for the temperature, I would guess it's about 4 degrees no more.
  6. They should, actually, be congratulated for selling so many more papers today! Sales marketing at its best!
  7. It's probably saying that we are going to have blustery, wet weather for 9 whole days!
  8. Could somebody explain the cloud name and number of blue boxes underneath one's name when posting please?
  9. Why don't they fly over he top of Wilma and drop some bombs on the eye before it makes landfall????
  10. This is obviously as stupid question but forgive me please, I am a girl; Why on earth can't they fly over the top of this dreadful thing and drop some bombs on it and, indeed, any others, before it reaches land??? Sensible discussion please don't just take the p**s
  11. I think somebody got it right - Physalis - chinese lanterns because you can see the seed head forming. I would be very interesting in seeing how the seed heads develop - the common ones (which drive us all made by taking over the garden) have boring orange seed heads. Please could you post a picture of the seed head when it ripens later on. Thanks. I will look in my encyclopedia tonight and see if I can identify the strain for you.
  12. It's absolutely ghastly - muggy and autumnal with really fine rain that gets you soaked in only seconds! Hope to goodness it's better by Sunday.
