    Nice little pressie for me before we leave dymchurch ... Some fantastic deep booming thunder. Cell looks like the main part is going to be 4-5 miles off shore with ones over land every so often.

    Yep just gotten back from a jaunt to the wall .. Stunning yet silent saw a fantastic shooting star as well.

    Thought I was out of luck as one looked to be skirting just to my north which died, another popped up just south around Crawley/Gatwick which according to my little sis was a cracker. Then a little beauty cropped up right on my doorstep with prolonged heavy hail.

    Just had a lightning overhead here in Redhill with very impressive thunder... was outside having a ciggie under my umbrella at the time and near pooped myself

    These storms are nuts - I keep looking for existing cells beyond guildford but they just pop up out of nowhere as soon as they hit 6-10 miles west of me.

    There is a lovely sounding cell to my north over Sutton/Coulsdon - cloud structure around the outside is impressive with lots of low level stuff whipping in towards it. Just seen a 747 from heathrow taking a hard left as it came towards it. Looking to my east though there is another large looking cell and its building nicely - just taken a look on NW R and it's just started to chuck out some rain so maybe storm 3 is on the way

    On the NW Radar each of these storms we've had this afternoon pop into life as they pass dorking - looks like a couple more in the way if the previous two are anything to go by - are they expected to continue into the evening?

    It's fantastic - I've just been stood in the garden watching and getting soaked - just passing through now still going strong - Kitchen roof popped a leak so that had to be dealt with . Very strange cloud formation at the back - I know it sounds strange but it looks like there is a gust front at the back?

    Does the NW radar pickup IC or is it purely CG??? strike rate here is fantastic and the previous two storms appear to pickup intensity as they hit the downs

    Well that was biblical!!!! Lots of T & L and a hell of a lot of rain - - road outside is a river - just seen a police helicopter fly overhead which I thought was VERY strange... flew right into it.

    It pepped just just as it hit Guildford, went into the garden for a look and it looked awesome, I do believe that's the same cell that someone commentated that it was rotating as it passed oxford.... I think we've not seen the last of the day though...some more headed south-east towards us which might just do the same.

    Fantastic storm passing through here - lots of lovely loud thunder -headed towards tunbridge/east grinstead I think and growing in strength.
