A ridiculous 13C early this morning. Down to 9C now which is a temperature that I felt was exceptionally mild whilst growing up. We had many whole winters when the temperature never reaced 12C in the whole 3 months. Baa humbug!😢

Yes, amazing isn't it, that this (excellent!) community is active in mid-December!

Not so much a 'winter' as a brief lull from the warmth/ heat. How I miss the seasons. If I were a youngster, perhaps like my daughters, I might think that this is 'normal'...but being older, I remember proper seasons! I miss winter.

Pretty mild indeed, a standard nowadays as ice days seem almost unheard of. Fear that few cm in November may be all we get

I can't remember who it was, but one of our cold fraternity posited that it won't be long before we start celebrating/ getting excited by frost, let alone anything else...I don't want to derail the thread from our collective heat aversion, but on an emotional level it does feel to me that if we had proper winters, I might be able to tolerate the heat incursions better, knowing that it was the 'price one paid', as it were. Having hot summers, above average temperatures throughout, and no realistic winter - well, that's difficult.

I'm not even surprised this group is active again, it's so mild at the moment.

I actually woke up sweating in bed this morning I was so warm. Very rare in December! 🤣

Dami that is the downside of a head transplant making you live forever you get to see extreme global worming in action.

I could do with a snow/ice haters club too - trap me inside just as effectively as excess heat.
