Looking stormy all of a sudden but I suspect it will just be rain

Indeed just had a very intense band of rain pass through.

looks like something is heading its way towards Ashford but not expecting anything but heavy rain

 Eagle Eye Like that here. Became quite dark, but shower not too heavy.

Lovely little convective shower in Croydon.  Not electrified but but it wins on appearance.

A couple pictures of the super cell taken across Lower Bavaria yesterday afternoon that deposited hail 1.5cm. Missed them in our location but could clearly see the tops moving between Salzburg and Linz cities well too the north. Oh, yes we have sleet this morning !

[Flash bang flash bang etc]

We had but a distant crackle yesterday. Lots of heavy rain and I really was expecting at least one more thunder than we had, but wasn’t really the conditions for it.

The wait is on for the next event - but to be honest some fair weather is appreciated as we are moving house over the next few weeks and I’ll not have the opportunity to chase anything.

With this flow from the north it’s not going to be particularly exciting unless we can get winds to swing around to bring some decent instability up from the continent, which probably won’t happen for a while yet
