Still here too!

I'm yet to even see a lightning bolt this calendar year. Seems I'm really paying the price for the hundreds of corkers I saw in AZ last Aug; the ultimate come down since!

Anyone else still here? I've had a close shave today, yet somehow I survived - think I'm gonna make it a fully storm-less year 🙄 🤦‍♂️

Blue location dot is out by a couple of miles, but even so I didn't even hear a single rumble from that lot this morning...

I cannot remember the last storm we had here, they all seem to miss us.

ChannelThunder I’m still here although that’s probably not surprising since I’m just across the water from you. It’s been a long time since I’ve had any storms here. Or anything else interesting for that matter.

I am still here no thunder at all this year, not even a rumble with a passing heavy shower. Last Storm was 11th June 2023 after the cosford air show.

Been a very unusual year this year Spring was the most thundery season this year thunder heard in March/April and May not known that before..

June/July zilch..August 2 days with a neat little thunderstorm, and finally september gave 2 days of thundery showers one from a cold wintry NWly very strange..

9 days in total, last year was a much more traditional thunderstorm year it happened in summer 11 days..

Well, it took 6,200 miles of travel, but a dramatic CG barrage in Khao Lak, Thailand, removed me from this club tonight, that's if running away from home actually counts. Managed to capture one nice bolt on the camera, too.

ChannelThunder You didn't get the surprise evening storms of March 31 or May 12?

Got both of those here and both took me by surprise as convection got going just as it was getting dark, after benign daytimes, in both cases.

The March 31 event was particularly unusual for so early in the year, March being perhaps the least thundery month here, and the wind was E-ly: the small number of March thunder events usually occur in a W-ly or NW-ly.

Or the overnight May 1/2 event?

Just those three at home this year though, plus many thunder-days in northern Greece and a likely derecho event on August 29. The past week has produced zero thunder here, just lots of rain and virtually no sunshine.

ChannelThunder For my home just south of Stratford, it's been entirely storm free for the whole year, apart from yesterday! Rather unexpected. Obviously for Jersey theres been loads.

Summer8906 the main May one had one distant rumble in the small hours, but all grazed just to the north & east of me, as for the other two you mention, I don't recall getting anything at home for either!
