latest published Noaa plot shows another slight reduction in the amount of NLC clouds above, although still almost double the amount from last season ( amazing!🤔 )

With a clear night forecast, tonight will be of interest to me
for the reasons I mentioned 5 days ago

"This mornings display perfectly aligned to the UK sightings from June 12-13th, using the 5 day rotation method
(June 22-23 being the next rotation )"

I would not bet against there being a sighting tonight

Happy Hunting all 👀

Do you sleep early for the NLCs or set an alarm?

There were sightings from Belfast Ireland this morning.

It's still quite light on the Flensburg web cam, but there may be a hit of NLCs low down on that cam, we should know in around half an hour if  I'm seeing things I want to see 😅

I've still not seen anything this year, and now we are officially in the 2nd half of the season, last year I only managed to see one display, could this year be even  worse?

hopefully something will show up in the coming days while we have some clear weather 🤞

Had clearer sky earlier, just typical of the cloud, story of my noctilucent life.  Tut. Humph. 😂

Clouded over here for now

Still undecided about Flensburg however  that's a very bright band shinning through their smut layer at very low level

Capella @ 9°

Based on the echoes throughout today, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the 'rotation' you mention.

Jamie M Wow,Cheers for the heads up, They actually look reasonably high in the shy, I think I'll head out and start a time lapse, just in case they do make an appearance, good luck everyone

I'm definitely starting to see NLCs directly north/northwest, at least that's one benefit of living on the south coast is that it gets dark earlier

Just my luck though, it's been clear for the last 3 or 4 hours and all of a sudden cloud starts to appear right where the NLCs are 😅

There's something to my NW too, can't see it with naked eye, my phone has picked it up.  It's not too dissimilar to what @Southern Storm can see.  Not shown up on posted pics.  Very feint right hand side.

They are out there, north-north west  and not your usual horizon huggers 😎

Crappy low cloud seems to be filling the sky in quickly here, presuming from the much warmer airmass moving in last 12-24 hours... Perhaps morning display 🤞

Really visible to the naked eye.  From NW across northern sky and the brighter definitions are to my NE.  Wow. At long last.
