What was the summer like during the year that you were born?

You don't need to mention the year if you don't feel comfortable in doing so, but otherwise the title is self explanatory.  

Here's mine (summer 1991):

June - A very poor summer month as it was cool, wet and dull for much of the time with sunshine hours 79% of the average. 

July - An improvement to the previous month and quite changeable overall, with 30.3°C at Kinlochewe in Scotland on the 4th.

August - By far the best month of the summer that year and was warm and dry. There were thunderstorms at the beginning of the month with localised flooding in some areas.
