Morning all. 😊

Well that was a pleasant alarm clock… It was the sound of torrential rain that woke me up… So I can confirm the lightning, and distant thunder as well! 🌧️🌩️⛈️😁👍🏻

This might end up being the worst June since 2012 by the looks of it

Sorry but there will be no forecast maps for the foreseeable, due to injury circumstances. I will keep updating for the bigger storm chances.

Eagle Eye No worries eagle, there doesn't appear to be anything in the reliable anyway.  hope you're ok, and make a quick recovery.

Torrential downpour here just now. Radar doesn't show much but seemed to develop fairly rapidly.

Eagle Eye I hope you're ok mate. Whatever your injury, wishing you a speedy recovery. 🤞

Robert1981 Funnily enough, after I said that we got a load of moderate rain last night! Maybe I should moan more often? 😅

Should  say ill rather than like a broken bone though one person I work with for the forecasts is fully injured but when I get colds and flus with my asthma I have no energy usually for a week or two.

Can see a few bits of bubbly cumulus from here but not much to be excited about.

Eagle Eye I'm just recovering from a nasty bout of the flu which lasted two weeks. I've never been so ill for so long before - it really hit me hard. You will get better but give it time and don't push yourself too hard before you are ready. Get well soon mate.

Thanks, seems to be something going around. Glad you're better now. Seems to be a lot more forming now. A big shower closing in on me, weak on radar but can see the whole rain shaft.

Scuba steve yes, some thundery showers showing up in the NW according to the recent BBC forecast. Tending to be in the North of the Region and coastal areas and we have been dry all day here in the South of the Region.

Several showers moving through, with a few hail pellets earlier otherwise have stayed mostly dry this afternoon.

A product from the very cool airmass combined with peak solar heating at this time of year as we approach the solstice rather than any decent levels of instability compared with this time last year.
