Overhead thunderstorm here 16:20-45 with some brief hail.  Thunder fairly frequent in the midst of it.

Sheffield storm stopped producing lightning as it approached. Bit disappointing

Just checked the radar since my last comment, didn't expect it to pick up like it did lol, hopefully for something later this evening when it cools down

Just heard a faint rumble from this and a couple strikes detected on blitzortung.

Quick check up. Not too bad a convective day but this season is running out of steam at the moment. Hopefully it picks up.

Decent thunderstorm just off Clevedon / Portishead in the Severn Estuary. Think I heard one rumble but everything missed me so close but no cigar.

Got some images of the storm from Boston! Lots of thunder, no lightning visible. Many rumbles of thunder - but was busy when it got active sadly!

A few of the precip models still hinting at something thundery in and around Kent between midnight and 4am (tonight / early hours) in response to a shortwave trough. 

Arome model showing up to 400 j/kg cape available during that time.

Not a bad day today. 
 

Tomorrow could well be interesting too. Potential for some rotation on any storms that get going around the Lincolnshire area. Looks to be a backed Southerly element to winds at the surface with a W/SW jet running aloft, going by the Arome Hi-res output at around 14:00.
 I will certainly be on the lookout tomorrow, early afternoon in particular.

I can see two individual TCu cells initiating towards Sheffield with plenty of structure to them as i'm looking directly East within a clear slot, if they were a bit closer i'd have jumped in the car for a brief evening chase.
