Eagle Eye that's impressive, I'm sure they'll be more reports to come, seems like the atmosphere is primed for a few twist ups

A few pulse storms around today but I didn't go chasing. It would likely have been very frustrating with most storms limited to about half an hour before dying out. I'll check on the forecasts tomorrow as I may chase if it looks worthwhile.

My family say there was golden/pink fork lightning earlier here in Boston.

Another heavy shower developed within 10 minutes, just east of the main cell over Codsall, West of Wolverhampton. No lightning but could see the structure from here.

 It's a Philcast

Always happens unfortunately. No one interested in weather can get the actual really good events.

We went out for the outdoor Mikron Theatre performance locally. At the interval, I did ask if they had a planB as the ex thunderstorm from Oxfordshire was imminent. They said, unless its lightening, they keep going...

Pardon the pun, but I was hooked there for a few minutes, quite forgot I was armchair storm chasing.  🤣🤣

Yes, a small storm just passed over. A small number of flashes before it died out. A nice little surprise though 🙂

Noticed today the lightning detectors were a little poor. Doesn't seem to pick up any of the flashes in that storm just then.

The Netweather radar seemed to pick them up, none on lightning maps or blitz.

A higher risk tomorrow than it was today for some parts according to ESSL.
