Hopefully tomorrow may throw up some decent convective activity. If I would pick an area to chase in tomorrow, I would be eyeing up anywhere from E Leics, E Notts into South and Mid Lincs from midday onwards.

Sparkiee storm   There's a little bit of CAPE to tap into UK wide tomorrow too.  Again a case of radar watching, anything can pop up anywhere.

Allseasons-Si I just drove home through that, all the roads flooded, winds went wild for a few minutes and a couple of flashes of lightning, was very interesting to say the least.

A few flashes in the mid-Eastern channel too, might have seen them had I been looking!

Really slim pickings in here the past month or so - more akin to what I would expect to see in winter rather than summer.

Such a depressingly awful climate we have

LightningLover never realised how much of a difference moving from eastbourne to bexhill thing makes the heat feel. It’s feels much warmer here than eastbourne

Morning all. 😊

I see that the U.K. Meto has just issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for today!

I’m outside of the warning area, so I might be in with a chance! lol 😂 👍🏻🌩️⛈️🙏🏻🤞🏻

Plus here’s the current rainfall radar as well.

I personally think it’s gonna be a day of classic sunshine and heavy thundery showers.

Good luck to everyone with this today.

Another convective day expected, hopefully a few can get more organised and long lived this afternoon..

Keeping an eye on the Ludlow area, as a few models show a line of showers and storms moving through the midlands into Lincolnshire on the edge of the low.

Very heavy rain and some semi-frequent thunder on storm south of Birmingham, not much structure to it though.

forgot to send this earlier but this is my forecast for today, I said tornadoes for the south east / east but I mean funnels and rotation in the clouds.

Frequent lightning here, although elevated I believe, haven't seen much. Near constant rumbling.

Edit: Briefly had pea sized hail, then turned to biblical rain. Now blue skies and a huge anvil to my north showing the storm clearance.

SKies clearing here now after that rain, just in time for peak heating. Be watching this afternoon and evening for any interest.
