Arnie Pie Yeah pokey shower, with a bit of hail in the mix, heard 3 rumbles but must be from another part of the line nearby.

I swear I have just seen brief rotation on the storm near Boston... Here's a quick image as it's going out. More to come!

Some rumbles here in Bempton and raining hard. Think the activity is west of us over the Wolds.

 Thomas Green I can

confirm there was definitely brief rotation from that same storm here in Boston, looked to develop a funnel in the distance, so yeah - there was a funnel.

After reviewing my footage, I can confirm that there was a funnel cloud that developed in the distance after it passed Boston. Like I said, I noticed brief rotation as it went over me, but yeah - as it began to go off land, there was a funnel cloud, very briefly visible on some of my footage that I'll upload once its all edited together (in 1-2d time).

Drove through a pokey little storm around Derby about an hour ago. Produced some bright flashes of lightning, thunder could be heard from inside the car and gusty winds. Some hailstones in it too as I drove around Burnaston/Etwall.

I saw a grey hanging down tube shaped thing at the back side of a shower going through Clowne/Worksop area at about 16:45, any one else see anything around there? It could have been a rain shaft emerging of course, but it was also near an updraft area and looked tubular looking. But it was also in the distance a bit and then obscured by trees so I didn't get much time to see it.

Much quieter evening with just the odd light shower otherwise it turned cloudier and grey. Nice rainbow arc not long before the light shower arrived however.

Today a good example of it being a "front-loaded" day for convection here.

Just got back a couple hours ago from the Reading University open day, hoping to study Meteorology and climate there. We were caught in a few very heavy showers but being a campus very green focused, it was hard to get cloud pictures through trees and where there weren't trees, we were too close to the buildings most of the time.

The East of the UK looks the most favourable areas today.  Again, where there's precipitation anything can pop up.

My aforementioned period of potential interest is coming into view of the UKV- Tasty! Shame about the timing on this run... 04:00 is awkward and light!

Yesterday was a massive structure and fast moving systems day. It was also the first time I considered pulling over on a motorway(m1) just to take a photo of the wall of convective  madness heading towards the East coast...

I didnt, because my licence is so important to me and my mum up north.

I may consider a dashcam/recording device soon though, as spending a lot of time driving at present
