All of a sudden , large drops of rain have cleared the riverfront bars of Kingston. Wind is more Northerly than the east it has been all day, but Heathrow hasnt changed the approach direction yet.

Hoping for a dry morning, as doing the tidal part of the Thames to Brentford, after that, bring on the storms.

The band or rain/showers in the western channel looks to be intensifying, interestingly this doesn't seem to have been modelled very well.

It will be interesting to see how that band develops

ChannelThunder was just thinking that myself, ran the radar sequence, and it's got a north easterly tilt on it

Handry Outlook doesn't quite match Netweather's recent updates? Lets see whom gets this on the money? 👍

ChannelThunder I'm the eternal optimist, you never know, stranger things have happened! I also need to remember if it can go wrong for our area, it probably will 😅

Expecting an early wake up call from some elevated storms, few errands to run then I'm heading south, aiming for Oxford initially, chase on!

Good luck everyone in the SE for overnight tonight!

at time of writing.. there is teasingly this:

A new weather forecast model data viewer for Europe and North America. Clickable forecast and ensemble plots, hourly GFS, ECMWF, ARPEGE and GEFS plots

yet the Arome will be worth watching as tomorrow progresses - seems pretty accurate for a few hours out.

Reminds one of trying to pin-point the location of snow 🥴

Sleep time. Another fail here, but tbf the models showed nothing here anyway.

The inland stuff tomorrow should be fun but won't affect me down here on the coast. With that, let's hope next week's return to zonal conditions isn't too long lived and that this therefore isn't the final chance of a plume this year.

Good luck tonight, Kent folks!
