Date on one of those above - 7th December 2010.  My car was a Toyota Yaris.

This next photo shows our postman, Henry Smith, getting help when his van couldn't get moving properly.  Henry was in a previous life, a legendary Hearts goalkeeper. 701 games.  He was chuffed when I gave him a large print of this photo.  He played at Ayr United and earlier, Leeds IIRC.  

From 30th November to 28th December, inclusive we had over 20cms of lying snow, peaking at 53cm on the morning of the 2nd December.

December 2010 was an incredibly severe, record-breaking month.  I am sure there will be plenty mention of it by those worthy folks who research such stats on this site.
