Remember those thundery plumes of yesteryears? Something that seems to have become rare over the last few years or so

Here's one from over 150 years ago around the 4th September 1872

This produced thunderstorms of note.

4th September: Thunderstorm 0.40am-1.15am, vivid lightning;  loud thunder 10.45-11.15am; lightning from 7pm to 10.30pm
