Davis Air Quality Sensor

Just wondered, does anyone else own one of these, or similar?

The output gives much food for thought.

Here is a graph of particulates for the last few days.  Note how the recent polar  air mass has - at least for now - cleared the murk from here.

Also, there are some horrendous levels of pollution being given by other sensors in the UK and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them.

I've had one for nearly 4 years.

I started automatic data plotting just over 3 years ago.

Historic:

Click "Particulates"

5 days of data at 1 min intervals.

Also this, which connects directly to AirLink

Last week was interesting during an easterly. Pollution from the continent sent it loopy.

Mapantz  Mapantz Many thanks for your interesting response!  Just checked new stuff on the pc for a minute.  Will certainly look at your links!

I run one, I don't have the granular detail that Mapantz does, but I've been running it for a fair ol' time. As Mapantz said last week it went ballistic, today with the wind in from the north, it is extremely low.

Mine can be seen on the graph plot in green at https://pooleweather.uk/

Dorsetbred Thanks for that!  Imagine, 2 of you in Dorset.

What great sites you guys have! I personally have never gone along that route, but I am impressed with what I have seen on those of you guys.

You will probably have seen on the Davis Airlink map that there are hardly any particulates sensors up here.

IslaArklayblend As an aside, I love Linlithgow, I spent so many nights up there at the Champany Inn when I worked for Sun, it was a great place to stay and the food was amazing. The area itself is so pleasant to stay in, and I loved a wander through the town. You are a lucky person to live there.

DorsetbredHey, that's amazing!  1978-2017 we lived in Baronshill Ave just across from Sun.  I ended up retiring here (I would have preferred somewhere much further north) as you will know it is useful for residing there if you work at Glasgow or Edinburgh, as I did.DSC04058.thumb.JPG.f704b6245d54ad81c363ba64116b5b29.JPGDSC04060.thumb.JPG.173721c19b6a4cc45e8c509172822533.JPG

A few slightly poo coloured readings in parts of England today. We are just about green up here, though, like most of you.

However, am writing to you today to ask about the always high levels of pollution indicated by Hawthorn & Honeysuckle stations. Do you know the cause?

I am assuming they are anomalous because they are industrial or agricultural (indoors?) sites.
