Following a very sultry afternoon, I'm curious about the trough/convergence that sprung up to the east of us. It seems to be back-filling quite rapidly.

Very interesting (says he, stroking an imaginary goatee)/

Hmph. Looks like the back-filling has stalled. Oh well. A true Kent Clipper in action. Don't let the tea get wet.

I've got a load of pics better than this but here's a quick one from a long exposure photograph.

Mitch the motorbike storm I am up at Southend at the moment.  Was out the front garden with dog when heavens suddenly opened.. hard a few rumbles here but not seen the lightning as yet.

Glad I am here to be honest as I am feeling very storm starved now.

Here's going you see something

frequent flashes, thunder and torrential rain here. wasn't expecting this at all and funny enough, this storm is producing more action then the entire month i was away in florida this september 😂

I was recording this but since it's night time it would be darkness with flashes and thunder so in my opinion it isn't worth it.

Not surprised it's gone bang in some places. These autumn southerlies with exceptionally warm uppers usually fuel some juicy storms. One of the most intense storms I've ever seen came from an October southerly back in 2022.

Still going here, honestly probably one of the best storms of the year which feels wild to say in mid October, but speaks volumes of what a quiet year it’s been.
