I have a few Rmets articles regarding meteotsunamis around the UK, so I thought I'd share them on here.

Meteotsunamies are essentially waves that are caused by atmospheric conditions rather than earthquakes. Usually a powerful and organised convective system is responsible for these waves, and they can be brought about by atmospheric pressure changes resulting from squall lines or other powerful convective systems. Meteotsunamis can strike without warning, often when weather conditions at the coast are clear with calm seas and blue skies, but thunderstorms responsible for them are further away out in the open seas.

Some examples of them in recent decades include 18–19 June 2022, 1/2 July 2015, 7 June 2011 and 23 June 2016. All these dates had some organised convective systems around the UK.
