A new month coming round yet again but it looks like this time we will see a return to mild weather.... in fact very mild.

The latest EC control suggests the CET may be as high as 10.8C up to the 13th. Some chillier nights from the 3rd to 5th but nothing notable. A larger amount of scatter on the ensembles after that. Positioning of the high will probably determine whether we get more in the way of cooler nights.

Overall the control was a bit above the ensemble mean.

The overall pattern reminds me of November 2011. Dry with an absence of stormy westerlies but still very mild.
