Plenty of heavy stuff moving into se england which corresponds to temps dropping close to zero 

Whether that can survive far enough into and south of London is questionable 

north and west Home Counties with a little elevation could see a couple cms over the next hour or two

Currently an inch or so of snow on ground.  Temps about -2C.  Very very light snow coming down.

 bluearmy Accumulation that lasts longer than 10 mins in my situation is impossible but I at least hope to be able to see some winter precipitation south of London

Good Lord, an unexpected covering of snow in Bedford! Very wet and only a handful of mm deep, but it still counts!

 danm getting it to accumulate and hang about will be the trick 

some intense precip headed into nw London 

harrow on the hill and Hampstead heath might be interesting if that hits over the next hour

A thin layer is settling on the grass and roofs. Not on concrete yet as it’s so wet. Need the heavier stuff for longer.

..heavier here now with more settling..on my phone says expect upto 2cm before turning back to rain..noooo....
