Snow Outlook - Tue Night/Wed ❄️ (forgot to post this so it's my friends discussion and a bit late)

Snow showers will affect E Eng, Scotland, Ireland, Wales into parts of SW England where 0-3cm could be seen especially over higher ground.

Further north accumulations can be expected much higher due to frequency & intensity being stronger

We need the Thursday low to deepen so it tracks more north but currently it's actually weaker than it should be,small differences I know, but could mean alot tomorrow

Jayfromcardiff Here's an animation for the next 48 hours from hi-res model Harmonie. It's suggesting that today there will be some snow showers into Pembrokeshire, and then on Thurs a sliding low sees the potential for something more substantial for high ground in the SW and S Wales. Temps obviously an important factor as the system will bring milder air with forecasts suggesting 6C for the tip of Cornwall versus close to zero on the top of the S Wales hills.

Well from what I can see, positive trends overnight. Much of Devon, Somerset and Dorset seem to be within the scope of possibility when it comes to snowfall, some settling, on Thursday.

Expecting another slight covering this morning here West Oxfordshire. As have many in the midlands thread- not expecting quite as much as yesterday as the showers decay through migration.. however I’ve a keen eye on developments over the next few days as noted systems take inflow.. and as again possible pop up features in the flow….            @ incoming

Look at UKV for now compared to reality

Showers much heavier and bigger in reality!

HarvSlugger if you use the models as being indicative rather than a specific picture then it helps. UKV is showing precip in the right areas. you’re not going to get it showing  activity all the right size and in all the right places to a few miles!   (Especially showers)

Around 2cm fell here again last nite bk to bk snow day great start. Showers popping up without notice. Remember we are in very unstable air with warm seas. Good luck to the South for tomorrow hope it's your turn soon.

Had a patchy covering of snow on Monday night and again last night. The showers just peter out  before they get here. It looks  like I am too far north to get the snow tonight.

Latest Harmonie looks good for the South West & South Central on Thursday morning as well as the North West and Midlands on Thursday Night from the occlusion running through, these showers are likely underestimated as well.

There is a chance these snow showers could reach London in the early hours of Friday morning but I wouldn't expect them to be as potent, tomorrow it will likely be rain if it reaches London.
