If I see a single flake of snow, I'll be flabbergasted.
In recent times, everything coming down from the North Sea gets redirected east just north of Cromer and just drifts around me - it happened last year, it happened again last night, I fully expect the same thing to happen today.

Not sure how much to rely on this as I have very little experience with the model, but the ECM AI version produces an output for Thursday much more akin to the Harmonie than the rest of the models. Saw someone mention on another thread that it's verification statistics are pretty decent but not sure where to find them myself.

Ben Sainsbury This is from a while ago but shows AIFS outperforms on the broad 500mb anomalies compared to other models, but I don't know how good it is at modelling exact rainfall positioning etc

Monday night's snow has stuck around and very icy despite some sun this morning. Not expecting more snow today, but a hard frost and more ice tonight and showers through the Cheshire Gap tomorrow seem possible. Main snow activity today seems to have switched to NE England and some snow showers which have made it to landfall on the coast and moors. Saturday? No idea at present but suspect it will be rain rather than snow here and windy.

Interesting snow risks from the MOGREPS UK for the next 24 hours or so - please note these are pre-production maps, hence no times etc on them and a non-standard colour scale.

Today - 1200, 1500, 1800, 2100

As Sceptical has mentioned, Met O weather warnings have updated and now a yellow snow warning too for SW England tomorrow for much of Devon but excluding much of Cornwall.

I can confirm here is the warmest out the whole UK, currently 8.5c

8.5c

Met office says 3c😂

I was expecting abit of snow today but it's 8c welcome to Pembrokeshire

HarvSlugger It's further south earlier in the day, but obviously will be going back to rain as it all moves north.

UKV snow depth at 6PM Saturday as the front is moving through.

My 3PM Sunday the majority has melted away already.

I posted this in the model discussion thread but probably belongs better here.

Decent snow chances for southern Ireland tonight. Met Eireann has an orange warning out for Munster area. Dry ground and cold lead up temps bode well for inland accumulations. Not all weather models showing precip extent of ECM, so hoping that model is correct !

Well it’s been a fascinating couple of days here in S Wales Valleys. Snow yesterday (settling above 200m) and this morning saw heavy settling snow right down to around 100m.

Just gone over to collect my wife from Merthyr (just had a baby girl) and a nice covering up at 300m over the top of the mountain.

Tomorrow is pretty hit and miss as the front “may” graze S Wales but may miss. To have 3 consecutive days of falling and settling snow in Autumn would be incredible. We had none last winter let alone autumn

Video below taking our son to school in the bottom of the valley.

Just keeping a watch on developments in the Atlantic with these two systems. From what I can tell the southern-most feature looks to be as forecast at the moment, the northern feature however seems to be shallower than expected. I'm not sure on future impacts as a result of this.

Methuselah Looking good up there in Beccles Pete. The radar shows much more of a feature than earlier forecasts suggested:

Ben Sainsbury I hope the northern feature being more south than forecasted, better not make the low go further south

 Blessed Weather

I'd thought that that might be the case, as the wind has backed into the west. So, thank you, Bert Foord! 👍
