The PIT Yes, very windy just down the road in Mansfield, where I am it is always worse when the winds is from the NW due to exposed location.

Got a gust of 41mph this morning up the road and then 30-35mph gusts.

I went to Aberporth in the afternoon though and I got 46mph walking to the other beach to go up one of the big hills and then I got the highest winds I have been in in quite a long time.

It didn’t drop below 40-45mph the whole time I was up there and there were loads of 50-60mph gusts and quite a few 65mph and 68mph gusts. The highest gust I got was 70.7mph.

Even back at Aberporth before we left it was still gusting 40mph and there was one gust of 48mph.

Yesterday afternoon we hit 55mph and average wind peaked at 31mph. Yesterday had higher sustained than Saturday winds which varied much more. No reason what so ever not to name the system

Strongest gust was 64mph on Saturday and the two day period of windy weather was a throw back to yester years when we used to get several days of windy weather.

Centre has finally reached Denmark and it's so much weaker. It seemed to drag its eastern side right down the coast of Norway.
