Others to add are:

Channel Runner

Polar Low

Snowfields

Baby Steps

Faux Cold (Grrrrrrrr!)

Euro Slug.

"The next (name of run) is crucial"

"The trend is our friend"

"Bust"

"Northern Hemisphere (NH) profile looks good" (on a run that is terrible for UK cold, for bonus points)

"Marginal"

"Wet snow"

"Streamers"

For years, add 2010 to the list.

Many years ago a certain @Osbourne One-Nilinstigated a game on here similar to the BBC Radio 4 institution that is, "I'm sorry I haven't a clue", whereby a couple of letters in a phrase are swapped out... This thread is remiscent of such frolics with a few suggestions:

Greenland Nigh

More nuns needed

Iberian Sigh

Beast from the Yeast

Thames Dreamer

etc.

Nice to see some humour in these AGW times!

This is great! Though we have forgotten Streamer

or if you want to be more specific:

Channel streamer

Kent Streamer

North Sea streamer

Thames streamer

(probably missing some?)

Not forgetting 'binning'. The procedure of throwing out with the rubbish a run that is not showing what you want🙂

Oooo... I'm liking the bonus points idea!!!

lottiekent WYORKSWEATHER beat you to the actual word, but defining which streamer is great!!

Thank you all for these really good suggestions.  Added these all as well!

Also, as a side note - where on earth do we all think and come up with such terms?  I've had a good chuckle at some of these so far😄
