Clearest sky since mid morning on Sunday at the moment. Moon and stars looking fine. Would be lovely if this could last into tomorrow morning !

Gusty winds out there, a tad stormy, or maybe its just one of your typical windy Devon nights, they seem to happen most weeks.

Either way I suppose its quite cosy! as long as nothing breaks!

Dull and cold has been the theme here for days! Glad to see some brighter weather next week and even a early taste of spring as temperatures finally get back into double digits, it may even get as high as 15°C in some places if the latest models are to be believed!

Bits of brightness to the East 

A keen South Easterly means I can have fire that wanted last week, when it started raining. Need an Easterly to blow the smoke away from the houses and I've got all the old fence panels to burn.

Morning All, some slight increase this morning in the ambient light level..

Its there and trying, even the UV is at 1.1 this morning! A cool night with a low of 3.1°C at: 01:06, suggests the day is struggling with warmth with a biting breeze from the SE, and a cloud base of 3,000 ft. The inbound front is evaporating as it approaches the BCP area.

However UKV cloudcover chart is suggesting some breaks in the cloud across the area for tomorrow. Sad news is it'll be dark by then!

Meanwhile UKV suggesting the more western and northern parts of the area may see some rain tomorrow, which appears to skirt around the south facing coastal fringe.

We are now at mid-point in the month, I don't know about you, but it is really dry down here, with 8mm so far this month, way, way down on MetO average for the month and compared to last year, this year is about 5% of last Feb's rainfall.

A few bright almost sunny spells at times this morning but gone cloudy again. An improvement on the previous five days but still feeling bitterly cold out there, particularly now the wind has picked up. Currently 4.5c.

Last night, very gusty winds and chucked it down, at least whilst I was awake.

This morning, woke up to what then seemed like an hour of hail, otherwise - shocker, same as last night!  

Its Friday though!

Concreting and digging today! The slightly lower humidity, combined with the strength of the wind, has really helped dry things out.

Currently 6°C and bright.
