LetItSnow West too, I think: here you're about as far south as you can get but I would still rate the summer as a whole, and all three months, at least slightly below average (August well below average).

339 hours, that's an extraordinary amount for the UK.  That's over 10 hours a day!  One of my favourite months of weather (but not in life, given the circumstances...).

2020 in London.

Amazing spring (May 2020 was the sunniest month on record), poor summer for sunshine. The final week of August ruined any chances of a truly hot month.

One of the best Springs ever (weather wise), and a mixed bag Summer but one that had a very warm/hot and sunny middle. The August heatwave was one of the most intense i've ever experienced in the UK.

I really enjoyed 2020 weather wise I have to say. Certainly the spring and summer. Summer wasn’t anything exceptional a la 2022 but did feature a lengthy warm, dry and sunny spell around high summer so felt like being on holiday living in Brighton at the time which was very welcome!
