    Sat on my sofa just after 1830, curtains still open, rain still lashing, wind still howling...

    ...I am sure I saw a flash of lightning to my South and then, as I was sat wondering another flash within a minute :!:

    No thunder heard but the wind is so loud it would have masked the sound of it anyway.

    Last Friday there was lightning here. The rain was so heavy I couldn't hear any thunder but the lightning I did see was impressive.
