I arrived back in Darwen about half an hour ago, to have a massive rain storm move in with lightning bolts arcing across the sky!

Woo hoo!

Everyone post your reports here if you have any.

Second heavy rainfall of the afternoon here in Manchester, but just had the first couple of flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder. I missed the big lightning show on Thursday, so this is a bit of compensation. 3 flashes in the last minute or so.

Upto about 10 lightning strikes now, the storm is passing almost overhead me in a north-easterly-ish direction. The advantage of living in a giant toblerone-shaped building (a bit swiss chalet-like!) is that I can look up and see above me through the sloping roof. The downside is that all the rain hits the windows so it's very noisy! Another couple of flashes, and the rain is getting heavier.

Yes, thunder, calmed down a bit, but just now another CG Strike and rumbles of thunder, raining again heavy. Probably had about 10-12 Thunderstrikes in last 30 mins. really should switch off my PC.

Have just driven through a massive Thunderstorm which is heading towards Suffolk, the roads around Upminster were flooded and was aquaplaning at one point, Huge Bolts of Blue Lightning lit up the sky which also put me off :D
