    Hi

    October here was much wetter than normal; 65.9mm compared to 45.4mm(long term average).

    The mean temperature was only just above average at 10.8C(10.5C)

    Absolute max was 17.6C on 5th with the coldest day 9.2C on 15th. The coldest night was 2.4C on 19th with just 2 ground frosts and no air frost.

    This is 12th consecutive month with temps above normal.

    Hi John, thanks for starting this thread :)

    This is my 2nd October of recordings, it was much warmer this year than last :!:

    Dry days = 8

    Rain days = 23 :roll: (thunder heard on 2 days)

    Average Max = 13c (2003 = 11.8c)

    Average Min = 7.8c (2003 = 5.3c)

    Mean = 10.7c (2003 = 8.55c) *more than 2c warmer this year*

    Highest = 17c on the 2nd and 5th (2003 = 18c on the 1st, 8th and 11th)

    Lowest = 3c on the 7th (2003 = -3c on the 23rd and 26th)

    **October 2003 had 10 min temps lower than this years lowest of 3c**

    **This included 5 air frosts** Just 1 ground frost this year :!:

    2003 was typified by a marked change to cool conditions mid month while this year has been fairly consistent temp wise.
