Sod's law isn't it? Play golf this morning, drizzle with bursts of rain. Finish golf, stops raining, even some sign of brightness to the west. That fits in with the last radar picture and TWS reports in Lancaster. Temp now falling and so is dewpoint.

Temp now down to 8.5C, dewpoint 6.5C, after a max temp of 10.6C. The clearance is showing to the west with the beginnings of asuper sunset.

I think the slow moving cold front is just getting here.

Sharp showers now after drizzle earlier.

Temp has reached 10c today but it is cooler than for a while.

Also the first time thuis month that there has been any more than a gentle puff of breeze - quite brisk at present from the NW.

Weird variety of clouds this afternoon on my way home at at about 3:45. Turreted cumulus (castenullus??) to the west running along in a long line, with quite a bit of height. To the east a kind of wall cloud. Blue skies, cumulus and altocumulus inbetween with some very high level cloud, quite crystal like reflecting red and green light.

Sun has now setted and temp is 7.5*C

This afternoon when rain had gone, their was plenty of sunshine and loads of cumulus clouds.

Around 3-30pm, the sky began to darken and cumulonimbus clouds were passing over head and adding colour, until it resembled gun metal grey, clous were heading in an easterly direction, the rain started at 4pm.
