Cold-a big change from recent nights of cool weather.

Sun finaly broke through this afternon (16/12) after well over a week of 100% cloud.

Tonight it is windy and the wind is bitterly cold.

2C, cold breeze and heavy squally showers, can see some ice in the rain drops when they fall on the car windscreen.

I'm at work so don't have any temperatures or official figures.

But we now have blusterly snow showers which have just started.

There was heavy rain overnight, snow on the moutains, but it froze this morning giving very bad roads.

Not sure if the snow will settle as it is quite wet after all the rain of recent days.

But the sky is so dark we still have the street lights on and it's almost 9.30am..

Went through a bit of cloud break-up with sun poking through, but then the wind whipped up and the clouds are back. Started with a lovely bright pink sky, but now looking very sinister!
