Yesterdays report thread is locked, but the same as Andy I had about 2/3 cm at dawn, noticed it snowing at 2:00 AM but went to bed. Higher up at Bristol Airport at 8:00 PM Saturday it was sleeting obviously it must have turned to snow much quicker there at 650 ft above sea level

Somewhat unexpected rogue shower here at Stratos Towers: more graupel than snow, though hard to tell in the strong wind. We shall see what the main band brings in a couple of hours, though I expect it will have warmed up slightly by then.

Been snowing here in Darwen for the last few minutes.

Only lightly, the drizzle equivalent of snow.

But it is sticking to everything it touches, as there was a very hard frost here last night.

Snowing quite heavy back home, nothing at all here in Deeside though, still quite cold though, but it is warming up quickly.

We had a mixture of rain/sleet/soft hail, which fell at 0c onto frosty ground. Must have been very clost to snow!

    Sunny intervals now and 2c

Sorry, forgot to mention that we had some sleet/wet snow in the heavy rain on Saturday night <_<

Nothing here on Tyneside, but a glance at the Lancaster University webcams suggest that it is snowing there, albeit without settling.

Started as rain here in crewe just to wet the ground on purpose about 20 mins ago, then to sleet, and in the last 5 mins to light snow.

Thanks Tim B for posting those. It reassures my decision to head into the hills today.
