very heavy snow conditons quite difficult to drive in I would say 2cm of lying snow visibility poor!This was not meant to happen!! Amazing!

Hail and Sleet all yesterday afternoon, Just had a heavy Hail shower with SNOW! mixed in, the mountains are white!

I know it's not supposed to but it's snowing here, started about 3 minutes ago and quite frankly I am gobsmacked. Watched the late BBC weather last night and they definitely did not state that the South would get any.

There is a little snow lying here in Aberdeen (not even enough for a covering of the grass though), so we had at least one snow shower overnight.

Well it has been snowing here on and off since about 8.30am - A good covering now developing in a very strong wind - hope it keeps up!

Slight resmblence of last years thunder/snow event - without the thunder. The precipitation band has become more orgainsed into a band as it has moved south. Slushy covering at moment on cars!!

Heavy snow shower here. Medium size flakes and trying to settle in places but the ground is soaking wet. Appears to be a dusting on the mountain. Bitterly cold wind.
