Currently experiencing the heaviest snow of this cold spell so far.

This will cause a few problems in the morning methinks.

It would be tragic if i couldn't get to work.

This morning saw a covering of around 3cm here, which was frequently topped up by 4 heavy snow showers in the morning. After midday the showers died off, only to return at around 5pm but as rain/sleet. The showers are still going on now, but are now just mostly rain with occasional hail/sleet mixed in. Sadly, all 3cm of the covering we had here has melted in the sun and the warm max temp of 5.3°C this afternoon. The only real sign we had snow is in some sheltered parts where it has remained, but the rain is rapidly seeing to this.

Where do you live cloud 10? Nothing here, and I can't see much coming my way on the radar.

Oh right near Stanley, you'll be favoured for snow anyway, as I reckon you'll be at least 600ft asl, while I'm only 300ft. Then again, it doesn't matter in this particular set up.

Cloud10, that precipitation you've had seems to be moving directly south on the radar, so I might catch it, skies to the North of me are going orange.

On another note, my anonometer has frozen and I'm getting no windspeed readings.

Just had about as much as TEITS, no more than a few sharp flurries throughout the day, around 4/5 showers of varying intensity.

Looking for some more over the coming week.

Nothing in loughborough though

quick reports from earlier this evening. travelling south on a1 from junc with m62, few patches of snow in services. hit 1st shower that was readily settling on carraigeway nr grantham at 2230ish. persistent light snow all way to peterborough where 2nd heavy fall began and accumulated. back home now, temp 2.0oC and very wet, me suspects due to sleet.

Wahey... a half decent snow shower here at the minute. And so it blooming well should be, i've been tracking it on the radar for the past hour or so. It passed through Lincoln ages ago, fizzled a little but seems to have pepped up. Joy. Only settling on the cars and roofs, but nevertheless almost worth waiting up for.

Just woke up for the loo and couldn't resist another peek outside.

Yipee it's snowing in Milton Keynes, nice big fluffy flakes of fun. Settling on everything as there was a frost earlier.

Lets hope we get some more

Snowing in Doncaster.

There is no lying snow for it to add to but the Met Office have upgraded their Severe weather warning this morning to include areas of South Yorkshire that lie East of the A1.

100% Cloud cover here so the first significant snow event of the winter looks as though it is starting.
