A patchy cover of no depth which fell around 3 O'clock in Sheffield. Skies clearing so it's looking like a frosty night.

Another total disaster of a cold spell for most people AGAIN.  It's pretty obvious now snow is not going to be widespread and looks confined to North East and East Coast. Odd snow showers else where but nothing waranting going to the grit Box.

Just don't understand why this spell is not more widespread.

People who have had snow say it's melting straight away anyway. ROLL ON SPRING

Hi BB.

The wind is only in a n/e direction at the mo, and widespread possabilities are more likely when the winds turn more easterly (late tues/early weds)

Weyhey! The most recent two snow showers out of the 5 I have received today have produced 2cm worth of snow

Very happy about this as i was expecting very little here in east warwickshire.

So far, the coastal strip of South Tyneside has managed to have 2 days of lying snow (about 5cm by morning)- yesterday did see a significant thaw during the latter part of the day as it warmed up from the sea, but amazingly, after the winds veered easterly it became cold enough for snow there again!

Lancaster- zilch so far.

Ummmm... nothing so far has settled. Had quite a few snow showers though. Hoping for at least 1 mm tonight, so can at least boast of a 'dusting' this winter! :)

Probably one to two mm here now.

Just be queing two hours in the cold then in last twenty minutes it starts to snow to rub it in. Sky looks full of snow now.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
