Having peaked at about that level around 10am, it fell to between 2 and 3 and then dipped to 1.4 in the solitary snow flurry it then stayed around the 2.5 to 4.5 mark but within the last hour has maxed at 6.3degC. This is very wierd. Temp around 4.2 now.

Just had a heavy snow shower here - the first since overnight on Friday. Snow showers can be seen dotted about all over the place from here, but none of them are very large and they aren't merging at present to give longer periods of snow. As a result, the snow isn't settling, and there are sunny spells in between which further reduce the chances of any settling.

It's a big change to yesterday though, so those of us in the south-west Midlands will have to see what this evening and tonight brings down this way.

Beautifully sunny end to the day  Also some distant snow showers.

Was sunny all morning then cloudier for 3 hours with snow flurries.

Brisk and freezing ENE wind, max of 4c.

Currently 0oC, after a high of 4oC.

Wind is now from the n/e, as opposed to nnw from this morning.

Hence, one hefty snow shower, which is staying on the ground.

Update at 17.25 - Clea Skies, and I would pressume, temp dropping off for later
