We have snow here in Nottingham. Covered every where in under 3/4 of an hour. Roads have a layer of snow but wet underneath. Nice big "Bed Feather" type of flakes. Better than last Wednesday.

SNOW WARNING

Well we got it wrong - sorry

The snow falling in parts of the Midlands, the West country, Se of East Anglia and parts of the south east along with an area in the Midlands will continue for a little while yet. Upwards of 5-6cm has fallen in places, and not all on high ground. During the morning this will slowly die out. Furtther sleet and snow showers will spread into eastern areas of Scotland and England later. Another covering of snow is expected with perhps 5-8cm over the hills.

This will be updated later today.

well we had heavy snow for 3 hours solid, accumilating to about 3 inches. The temperature is now rising to 1.1c and it has already started to melt.

Its a bit of a pain actually because it doesn't stay on the ground longer than a few hours.

Still we shouldn't complain, apparantly more is due later.
