It's been snowing non stop since 7am here in Medway/Maidstone. Unbelievable how it's changed from rain last night to huge amounts of snow.

 The 1st picture worthy snow of this spell fell this morning. See my pics on page 2 of the Feb comp thread!

There was heavy showery snow from about 0700-0900 that left 1cm on most surfaces but it melted very quickly after it stopped falling. However in the nearby village of Bratton there was 2cms lying when I went to take my photos.

Still flurrying now and the radar suggests I'm right on the edge of heavier snow.

Woke up @ 06:30 to a couple of centimetres of hail and snow pellets. Heavy sleet/snow shower on the way to work - Some thunder and lightning around 07:25. A few flurries following this. Quite sunny now and snow long gone. Typical Dublin crap!!!

errr...heavy snow for 8 hours non stop now. All the schools in the area are closed and about 2/3rds of shops banks etc. Cars are abandoned, buses stranded and snow is now 13cm with more to come.

Will post some pictures and maybe a movie later.

So the METO got something right for a change. Well done.
