An odd day

The sun was visible almost all day through the high level frontal cloud, but it hardly ever shone bright enough to produce a shadow. What I like to call 'lightbulb' sun!

There was and still is a fresh SSE wind and a max of 12c.

This evening there is rain in the air but it's not even wetting the ground.

A rather nice day, despite a chilly south-easterly wind. The first day in 8 in fact that we have seen some sunshine. It was glorious this morning, but clouded over after midday. Tonight is much the same, mostly cloudy with the odd clear break. Despite the cold wind, it was a mild day once again, putting my March average above the 1971-2000 average. It certainly looks like another 7+°C March at this rate.
