    Affecting: Northern and Western Scotland and Northern Ireland

    Time and Date Valid For: 00.01 Thursday 28th April until 00.01 Friday 29th April 2005

    Time Of Issue: 20.00 Tuesday 26th April 2005.

    An unseasonably deep low is forecast to pass close to northwestern Britain during Thursday, bringing a spell of wet and windy weather to many parts of the UK.

    The worse of the wind and rain is expected to be in the northwest with up to an inch of rainfall possible here along with south/southwesterly winds gusting to between 50 and 60MPH at times. Winds in many other western areas could gust to 45MPH at times.

    At the moment this system is not considered to be of enough risk to justify an alert, but this watch may be updated or upgraded to a warning if neccecary.
