A short thunderstorm from 3.50 to 4.15 a.m today. 4.1mm rain fell during the storm, the first of the season here.

Here in telford

there was a real vicious thunderstorm.

I recorded over 1200 flashes of lightning between

2:30 am - 5am.

And torrential rain and large hail fell at times

I agree with Conor, this was the most amazing chain of thunderstorms to pass through the Telford area in many a year. In fact I don't think I have seen a storm like it since I lived in the Far East many years ago.

yep that storm really was something!! Constant lightning over the Wrekin!! watched it for hours(sad?!)
