Torrential rain, approx a doz. flashes and enough heavy hail 1cm to give a good impression of a snow covering. Our primary school children were well impressed. (Near hysteria with some 5yearolds, I'm told, perhaps they thought it was the wrath of God for some of the a.m.'s misdemeanours.) We are hoping that the naughty boys who got banned from being on school premises at lunchtimes found that tonight's bathtime will have been unnecessary.

The Armadgeddon effect was enhanced when a mini-Niagara cascaded into the dining hall, narrowly missing the dinnerladies . The disadvantages of getting wet shoes and soggy socks were compensated by the view of the head mistress armed with a large mop laying into an expansive sea with gusto, and the deputy taking charge of a whizzo Aquavac gadget the size of a small dalek.

It will be days before every bucket, tray and wheelie bin will find their respective homes. The floor looks impressively clean but I fear the telltale pong of damp plaster will remind us every dinnertime for weeks to come.

We found from your fantastic site (after the computer techie had given the go-ahead to turn the computers back on) that after 20 minutes dumping on us, the storm headed North. It had the added advantage of reassuring the caretaker that, short of a 90 degree change in wind direction, that there were no other storms on the horizon.

Thanks for the site!

A very cloudy day here in Walsall! Rather warm about 16 degrees but not quite sure! Really grey clouds floatin around but producing very little rain.

Had a huge thunderstorm Sunday morning at 3am! Lightning the lot! Might as well say summit now been as i haven't got internet access very often and couldn't report it when it happened

Maybe a moderator could merge this with yesterdays thread? :)

You could post it in Wednesdays and put a note saying that it was for the Tuesday thread.

It's all you late people. :)
