Just had hail and a rumble of thunder here in Scarborough. 12:50 pm

just north of here, ppn line about 1 mile north with thunderstorm, several claps of thunder as the storm head away to the ne of here. Started 1325, still rumbling to ne.

I can confirm we have currently got a storm in Leicester - a couple of rumbles of thunder and heavy hail so far. No lightning seen as of yet.

I thought it was heading towards Leicester city as it went to the north of me and I'm SW of Leicester city. Looks to be getting a little more active too. Enjoy it.

Oh I am!! My housemate upstairs has just moved out and so I am spending the time watching the storm - as one should!

Hi,

Just had a thunderstorm here in Cleethorpes. Heavy Largish hail pellets to begin with.....bright sun now, interesting cloud formations. A point of interest though, there was a flash of lightning followed almost straight away by a loud clap of thunder. PC went off......

We had a flash of lightning and a hefty rumble of thunder down here in Rye, East Sussex about 15 minutes ago from a rather unassuming looking cloud!

GREAT THUNDER AND LIGHTNING HERE LASTED ABOUT 25 MINS, LOTS OF HAIL,

THOUGHT I CAUGHT SOME OF VIDEO, BUT CAMERA DIDNT PICK IT UP

GUTTED!!!

I WAS ALL SET TO GO IN THE CAR TO FOLLOW IT, BUT HUBBIE FORGET TO GET PETROL TODAY.

Heavy showers here late afternoon and evening with a couple of thunderstorms and some hail mixed in too.

From midday onwards saw the arrival of several thunderstorms here. These featured a mixture of rain/hail and even what looked like sleet in one of the later showers combined with a large temperature drop each time.

Im not too sure about the sleet, but with the 850hPa air locally as cool as -5°C and large temperature drops in the showers I suppose its very possible.

A bit late but had a storm yesterday about 1630, produced some really strong winds and hail, with some ic lightning.

abit late but I had a suspected funnel cloud during a strong shower,I was in the greatest risk zone which ran along the thanmes into the thames estuary.
