Ok, please help, looking at the Met Office charts for today http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/bracka.gif , I would have thought that here on the South Coast we'd have E'lys blowing, but the wind is N'ly http://www.seaspritesports.com/weatherframe.htm which updates every minute and has a streaming cam for those that don't know - am I missing something in interpreting the charts with regard to the isobars, or has there been movement between the High and Low -

I can only describe the conditions now as plain odd

The wind must be gusting to near gale force from the East.

The sky is blue from my town Northwards (odd small cumulus clouds).

The rest of the sky (Southwards) is a mix of blue and altocumulus/cirrus patches which are certainly from the front.

As a result we have bright/hazy sunny spells (maybe very sunny soon looking at the latest satellite).

But the wind isn't that chilly as we were told it would be. The temp is 15c and I would expect it to rise.

It has been another beautifully sunny but cool day here,out of the wind like summer in the wind more like winter.Temperature 12.5c,humidity 56%,wind moderate to fresh easterly and barometer 1025mb and steady.

mid-level cloud now over my region.Was sunny early on in the day but during the afternoon higher level cloud from the frontal system.Now gotten even cloudier and feels generally fairly cool at present thanks to the wind mainly!

For the 4th day in a row, clear skies, sunshine, and a cool breeze. In the wind and out of the sun it feels like March, in the wind and sun it feels normal, and in the sun and out of the wind it feels like summer.

Indeed, Lancaster seems to have done rather well relative to much of the country in the sunshine stakes so far this May.

The temperatures, at around 14C have been consistently near-normal, but nights have been consistently rather cool.
