Storm Chase Log 22 May 2005

Current thinking for today is Tulsa, OK which is good because it involves very little driving indeed. There will be a stalled frontal boundary drapped across the N part of OK and as long as we hit 30c (86f and we are expecting 91) and a DP of at least 70f (70's already realised in parts of OK with a few pools of 72-75) the cap (6-7c) will break.

We do not expect to travel much the next few days either as the same areas should be affected.

Here's hoping!

The weathers not exactly been nice to you these past few days. I hope you get a lovely storm today, and tomorrow and the day after for that matter.

    Good Luck. :D

Needless to say today was another BUST and I am seriously hacked off quite frankly. We had DP's in around 72f with temps of 99f - it was unbearable yet that cap held all day!!!!

We are now in Edmund, near OKC and watching some large towers to our N so fingers crossed for something tonight....

..and to further add insult to injury cells, some severe are breaking out over Wichita and El Dorado - some rotation also appears to be apparent....

If only we stayed there this morning................ :D
