Noticed 2200 Sennybridge is already down to 4C with clear skies !

Definately going to be a ground frost there tonight, if not scraping an air frost !

Most people don't think about the Sea temp this time of year(15-19°C) around the UK

With the wind as strong as it is,The air temp is gona stay up

here on the norfolk coast i can't see a frost until after Xmas

i might see a frost before xmas

But i am only about 30 yards off the beach so if the wind is off the sea at any time of the year i wont get a frost.

most years the sea temp only goes down to 5°C.i can only remember once when it went down to 0°C(1987 i think)

i went surfing-f****n cold i can say

why am i up so late? my other half's out for the night so time for a few beers

Well January And February are the coldest months I would say, I think you should see frosts by then this year.

If it is indeed as cold as it is looking like it is going to be, But dont get you're hopes up, Scientific evidence is all good but you don't need it to tell you that the moon is there or not there and the reasons why when it is cloudy.

Not relevant to what we are talking about but I'm just using that as an example.

This winter is looking good in theory, But Theory Is only theory and can be wrong.

As I said earlier I'm not trying to be a party pooper I just Don't want to contribute to a lot of heartache later because of premature optimism.

The past two nights I've slept really well... certainly looking forward to Winter now!

So then, did someone here get any ground frost? Some rural pockets of Shropshire did... and surely the area around Sennybridge did too!

Im pretty sure there was a light ground frost here this morning

I also saw mars last night, it was amazing, especially the colour.

I saw Mars last Wednesday night about 12 midnight.

Looked great with the orangey/reddy tanges.
