a pretty impressive storm with lots of thunder and a few visible flashes of lightning, around 10 of each., perhaps 20 rumbles overall.

The thunder has got a lot more frequent here, although still distant. Theres a near constant deep rumbling coming from the south (Dover, Folkstone direction) and looks darkest from west to south and seems to be moving North East (slowly)

Haven't seen any lightning yet though ...

Quite a severe storm in Colchester around 2.30pm with frequent C to G's and fairly strong winds and torrential rain which lasted around half an hour, back home in Burnham less so with only brief thunder and patchy rain, tonight again there was brief lightening accompanied by thunder but not to the extent in Colchester earlier, still humid though!

Have 2 Reports from Today, the 1st was in Wroxham in Norfolk, at about 445pm and then got back to Essex by 1920pm and just in time for the storm that went through Essex, quite a few CC's and CG's and Very heavy rain.

Just switched off pc and unplugged for past hour as it came in quite close complete with mostly cloud to cloud strikes. It appears to have disappeared east now. There wasn't much rain at all, barely enough to soak the ground.

2 storms today. "chased" one from the Basildon area NE to Chelmsford area at circa 13:20 - 13:45. three cgs observed drove through torrential rain. Then in Thundersley at 19:00 had a storm in what can be described as "thundery rain"!
