Haha John those look like the Jellyfish I refer to (real name Altocumulus Castellanus)!! Beautiful to look at, also some virga there too making the Jellyfish appearance.

Contrary to todays forecast - which was for any early sunshine to be replaced by rain and drizzle - it's wall-to-wall sunshine and 23C...

hi Andy

It was a bit of a trick question really. The only cloud around was some shallow Cumulus, and that was part of it. What was very odd was as it started to develop, it showed this similarity to Castellanus along with what appeared to trailing virga. Very odd, but certainly no Ac or Ci was around at the time.
