    Affecting for SUNDAY: SW England, parts of south Wales and central southern England.

    Time and Date Valid For: 0100-1800Z Sunday 24 July 2005

    Alert for Monday

    Affecting the area as shown on the map, and between 0100 and 1500Z on Monday.


    Time of Issue: 5.30pm Saturday 23 July 2005; amended at 6pm Sunday

    Heavy rain is expected to affect the areas mentioned on Sunday with 20-30mm likely in some places. Due to the dryness of the ground, rapid run off could cause some local flooding.

    During Monday another pulse of heavy rain, possibly with some embedded thunderstorms, will affect the areas shown. Rainfall totals of up to 20mm are possible in places. The higher ground may see totals a little higher. The risk of any localised flooding is only felt to be slight.
