17°C at 8am - why is it so warm? I can't believe this is our minimum surely not -minimum usually at 7-8am.

Cool with a strong northerly blowing. There are a few bits of blue sky, but its only 17c. I am a bit worried as the inlaws are coming over for a BBQ!

I haven't been on net-weather since the first half of the week so I will give you a summary of what it did in Bristol.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a lot of stratocumulus and altocumulus

    but some sunny spells. 25C

Thursday: A beautiful day overall with plentiful sunshine and patchy

    altocumulus castellanus. 25C

Friday: A dry and sunny start but cloud building up giving one light shower

later on in the evening. 23C

Saturday: Mostly sunny and dry to start but dark clouds bringing spells of

heavy rain later. Dry again in the evening. 20C

Sunday: Today was a beautiful day from start to finish. There was always

some patchy cumulus or stratocumulus here and there but the

temperature reached another warm 25C at 15.00 this afternoon. A

    lovely sunset followed.

Report for Sunday 14th August 2005, Readings taken at 23:55.

The morning started off overcast with heavy showers, some of which lasted for quite some time. The rest of the day was a mix of sunny spells and brief heavy showers. Like yesterday the showers died down by the evening, leaving some pleasant late sunshine. Once again it was a cool day, with both the maxima and minima below average for the time of year.

    Current Temp: 10.9°C

    Max Temp: 18.4°C (at 14:51)

    Min Temp: 10.9°C (Current)

    Humidity: 87%

    Min Humidity: 69% (at 14:28)

    Pressure: 1023.2hPa (Rising)

    Dewpoint: 8.7°C

    Wind: NW (1mph)

    Rain Today: 1.0mm

My August average currently stands at 16.4°C (Equal to the 1971-2000 average).
